Don’t need a GTD Inbox with Taskpaper + TextExpander

Taskpaper + TextExpander yields such quick data entry that I find myself skipping the Inbox almost exclusively now. When I used Things and Omnifocus I felt like todos had to go to the Inbox first because of the laboriously high number of taps it took on the iPhone to enter a task with accompanying contexts, project tags, due dates, etc. I would later add the metadata on my Mac. Not so with Taskpaper. I can do it all on iOS or on the Mac, and fast.

I do maintain an Inbox in Taskpaper but it exists only as a landing place for tasks created from Mail.app with this script….
